Biography:
Matthew Sheridan "Matt" Cardle (born 15 April 1983) is an English singer-songwriter who won the seventh series of The X Factor in 2010. After winning he signed a joint deal with Simon Cowell's label, Syco Music, and Columbia Records making him the first X Factor winner to not be exclusively signed to Cowell's label.
On 17 October 2011, Cardle released his debut album Letters, which peaked at number 2 on the UK Albums Chart. In 2012, Cardle parted ways with Syco and Columbia and signed to So What? Recordings. in October 2012, he released his second album The Fire which reached number 8 on the UK Albums Chart.
